Where are we at right now in terms of the seasonal changes on Earth and within the ever moving cosmo?
The Fall Equinox occurred on Monday, Sept. 23, 2019, and with it the Sun “headed south for the winter.” The Fall Equinox has, historically, represented a time of struggle between the dark and the light and has a greater to connection to endings than beginnings – unlike the Spring Equinox with its focus on new life and new beginnings.
A Spring Equinox feels like we were literally restarted; unplugged, wait 30 seconds, and plug back in – problem solved. The Fall Equinox, however, feels like the power company turned off the lights and we’re sitting in the dark and no one is picking up when we call customer service. Oh, and it’s of course Friday at 4:45 p.m. The Fall Equinox might conjure up cozy images (“sweater weather”), but it’s astronomically depressing since moving forward all the nights are longer than the days and this will remain until the Winter Solstice on December 21, 2019.
While we sit in the dark on Friday at 4:45 p.m., we’re left to sit with where our lives are at both in terms of our personal karma and our goals and motivations.
Many will experience an “Ah-Ha Moment” will sitting in the dark, while others experience a wilting away of who and what no longer serves them. Moments of closure where on foot is still in the doorway will also be experienced by some – be patient and diligent in your growth, healing, and releasing.
Endings and beginnings are a central theme at this time with the Fall Equinox representing the lights going out and the New Moon representing a the time where we sit in the dark. During this time the New Moon in Libra is physically invisible to the eye, but the emotional terrain of this moon is still experienced. The New Moon in Libra occurred on Saturday, September 28, 2019. In Libra, this moon can result in feelings of indecision and foggy thinking, a focus on balance and beauty, or place an emphasis on relationships where any imbalances will present themselves.
Since Libra is a Cardinal / Masculine sign, this New Moon is a fantastic time to initiate with and manifest successful new beginnings. At the same time, Saturn and Pluto are now both direct so our rise from the ashes is possible, weight can be lifted, and we can co-create structure and lasting work at this time.
